Bit odd this. My Technomate 5402HD has been great for months but today I noticed selecting a different satellite wouldn't move the dish. I turned the box off and on and tried again and it moved fine, figured it was a one off. Later it did the same thing, reboot fixed it. This a known problem with this box? Bit annoyed something has broken so soon.

Thanks

Try going to motor setup and send the motor to default position or zero (whichever the command is) and see if that enables movement.

I had this once and discovered that it was a less than perfect electrical connection at the motor end of the receiver to motor cable.

Remade the F connector and gently tightened it with the 11mm spanner and all was well.

Doing that moves the dish, then selecting another satellite it moves. So this seems to 'unstick' the issue.

I'll check all the connections now aye, good thought.
