Hi yesterday i had a go at installing my diseqc motor myself.Anyway i think ive done something wrong , On some satellites ie Hotbird,Astra the signal is perfect but on others like Telstar 15w some transponders are fine but others are very weak . Is there any simple way i can solve this?

Thanks :)

Could be one of many things causing the problem Warrior121, really need to know how you set it up.

First thing to check is if the pole is perfectly plumb.

Second is that the Lattitude set on the motor body coresponds with your location, ie Swansea would be 51.633 degrees north.

Third is did you line on a due South satellite, for Swansea it would be 5W (near enough).

I have set the lattitude wrong. So if i set the motor to N51:34:09(newport) then do i adjust the dish elevation. And yes im lining it on 5w :)
