My Satellite Setup
Triax 88 Dish, Polar Mount, 12" Superjack, Technomate 5500DAPCI, Xcam Module
My Location
Northampton
Just moved house. My dish is to be attached to my garage pointing in the direction of my house.

How far should my dish be away from my house to get a good reception between 30E and 45W?

I think due south is actually between the space of my house and the next house.

My lat is 52.16 and longitude is -0.8994 - what angle should my polar mount be set up at?

Any help and advice would be appreciated.

Thnaks all

Probably need a diagram with some measurements to work it out. :)

Hi Rolf,

Attached is a drawing to give you an idea of the new site.

The 90cm dish will be sited on the side of the shed at a height of about 8 to 10 feet (3 metres)

Will this location be OK or will I have to put it somewhere else.

Appreciate any help.

The Western satellites should be OK, but you may struggle on anything past 28.2E. Unfortunately it is impossible to tell exactly from the drawing.
