Linux and not Linux receivers.

Valencian Country (Europe)
There are 1.8m antennas which reflector is like a cheese in portions or like a daisy, so is very easier to carry.

Unfortunately petalised dishes generally tend to be very inefficient

No such thing as a 1.95m dish. Either 1.8m or 2.4m.

In Lorca, Murcia 1.8m is right at the cut off point. ITV HD won't work for sure, and no channels from high band UK beam.

Tecatel (now Terra, Spain) have had a 1.95m dish out there for years, though they class it as a 2m in the brochures.

I'll try to find a link

As Tecatel, I have these .. 2 x pdf's spec sheets as attached files.

The 'Data Sheet' details show the actual size/s.

Has anyone tried a 1,4 tecatel vs 1,4 famaval?

I have heard that the tecatel performs much better with the same GI lnb

The three gain figures at low, medium and high frequencies means Tecatel are serious about the quality control, they might have had their own range at some point.

The Tecatel is a nightmare to adjust.

I have the 1.4m Tecatel offset and swear by it. Top, top quality build and results. Was also advised that the Tecatel performs a little better than the Famaval.....................a friend nearby has the Famaval and he too is well pleased, so.....!!
I floor mounted the Tecatel on a Televes 719201 stand (see attached) making adjustment etc very easy.
As it is used mainly for feeds it is moved nearly every day and therefore the nuts and screws are not overtightened allowing dish movement by hand and elevation adjustment taking the reading from a mobile app.

Fellow member 'Huevos' is the man in this area with the expertise and have, amongst others, used the advice given on other related matters. He mentions that....`'The Tecatel is a nightmare to adjust... I do not find that but perhaps it is because mine is easily accesible being floor mounted, attachments indicate the dish and fittings to clarify things.
Also attached is a .pdf of dish spec.

I have had the dish from new for some 11 months and using a Black Inverto Ultra Twin LNB.

Enjoy. :Y:cool:

I fear the thread might going off topic. Until the o/p responds to which option(s) proposed in post 7, the dish size and type could be discussed all week long.

Both budget (not just the dish but the ancillaries, plus delivery to site and installation) as well as the possibility of two dishes will have an impact on what is the best route forward.
