I bought above from Technisat in Germany and instructions to active card are to tune in to "Starsat Hit Express" which is on 12.604 H, 22000, TP 111.
I have done an advance scan on my Technomate 1500 for that transponder and am getting no signal WHATSOEVER and oviously not picking up any channels. Funnily enough I get a strong signal on 12.604 V.
A friendly member on another forum has suggested my dish is misaligned although all other major channels that I watch are fine on all atmospheric conditions. :)
Any suggestions on what it could be:eek:
I have an Astra/Hotbird monoblock fitted on 80 cms dish if that make any difference!

Starsat Hit Express looks like a radio channel, on my receiver you need to switch from TV to Radio to view that channel, I'm not sure regarding the Technomate receiver.

Thanks for reply Mickha,
I've done that but there are no channels at all showing on that particular TP. Like I said because signal strength is so low I don't think receiver is picking anything up during scan:-Nooo

I've just checked using the transponder details you gave and I'm getting 92% sig and 89% qual. So it is there :confused

BTW, using my 80 cm and Technomate 9100

EDIT (again) Just a thought, when I first searched for that channel (it is a radio station, part of the Technosat bouquet) my Technomate was default to Vertical on that frequency, it may be worth just checking that you have correct polarity?

I have done numerous scans including another total blindscan on 19.2 and even re-added TP 12.604 H but nothing doing.
I've got an 80cms dish with monoblock, is that significant?:confused

No, I doubt the monoblock would have anything to do with it. The dish size is more than plenty for this sat, well inside the beam center so I'm as lost as you are at the moment.

Just double check that you're using a SR of 22000 and not 2200 (not questioning your intelligence or any thing), it's something I've done in the past myself.

Hi mate,
It's ok , no offence taken:)
I'm beginning to think that my dish must be slightly misaligned. I will check it out when it stops raining( probably next year:mad:) and post back. Appreciate your advice and feedback:-worship

To be honest, I can't see your dish being misaligned if all your other channels on HB are ok. What sort of signal strength are you getting on other transponders? If you are getting perfect pictures during our monsoon conditions then I would imagine all is well at that end.

In your profile it says you have a motorised dish, is this another dish?

That seems to be an average strength transponder on Astra 19.2, perhaps there is some local interference like a DECT phone.

Although my profile says I have motor ,I never did in fact fit it(although I am seriously thinking about it); I currently have Astra1/Hotbird monoblock and yes, signal strength has been fine in all weathers on both satellites.:)

Forgot to say, I'm getting around 80% on RAI, TPS, PREMIERE,TEQUILA and Eurosport which are main channels I'm watching on my 1500 Techno.

Just as a matter of interest, can you receive the channels on Hotbird 12597 V, similar frequency, but of course vertical, BBC World is one of them. Or 12610 Vertical on Astra?

Hi Rolfw,

I added both transponders via "advance scan" and can report that both have loaded no problem. I'm getting 80% from 12587 V on HOTBIRD and about 70% from 12610 on Astra, and all channels seem to be fine and clear:confused
I tried 12604 H again and still no signal:-Nooo

That is really strange, don't know what to suggest.

What about other high band horizontal transponders?

Hi ROLFW:), I've just done a TP scan of all individual radio stations on 19.2 e using data from Satellite magazine and picked up strong signals(76 to 80%) on all apart from the following:

12574H- Low signal - about 70% - scan picked up stations
12.604H -one I need - signal still bad- nothing
12633H- low signal too - nothing
12663H- about 70%- scan picked up stations

Does above enlighten you or are you as confused as I am:eek:

Try altering the frequency to 12610 H 22000, and if that fails 12600 H 22000 and scanning, sometimes just altering it slightly allows it to scan.

I can only think that it is either a faulty LNb, or there is a source of high frequency interference. Although the Intermediate Frequencies of those transponders range between 1974 Mhz and 2063 Mhz, a DECT phone could be causing the problem, or perhaps even a deflection from a terrestrial point to point microwave transmission.

No luck I'm afraid boys:-deadhorse:
I already have changed monoblock because a sort of similar issue where I was losing Taquilla package frequency at night/morning for no apparent reason and thought new Lemon LNB had done the trick (maybe it hasn't:-Nooo)
Anyhow,I have e-mailed German company where I bought the card and have asked them if they can activate from their end( worth a try)
I am going to fit motor on dish before autumn; hopefully I'll get a stronger signal all roundO-no
I Appreciate your time and effort trying to sort me out:-worship

If this is an external interference problem, then changing to a motorised dish may not solve it. I can't remember what you tried with the previous LNB, did you disconnect your DECT phone and any nearby WiFi gear?
