Hi

I currently have:

1. Skystar2 connected to 90cm dish facing 30w on rear of house
2. Digibox connected to 45cm facing 28.2e on front of house

When some nice people get seca2 working as a softcam i am hoping to move the 90cm dish to he front of the house and stick 2 lnb's on it (19.2 & 28.2, possibly a 3rd at 13e if possible)

Can i do this, what new equipment to i need to attach the lnb's. I have seen dishes available from Raven but i was hoping to use my existing equipment if possible?

Any help greatly appreciated

cheers

You will need a 15 degrees offset bracket for Eastern satellites, you then focus your dish on Hotbird and offset the other two.

It will not be easy, better to leave it on the original dish.

I was told that you can (legally, in the UK) as long as they are mounted on the SAME BRACKET.

Madness...

According to planning guidelines no, but it only becomes a problem if someone complains.

1 Do you live in a house that is not in a conservation area, a National park, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty or the Norfolk Boards?

Then you do not need to apply for planning permission to install a dish on that house, provided that:

there will not be more than one dish on the building or in the garden;
the dish does not exceed 90cm in size;
if the dish is installed on the roof, it does not protrude above the highest part of the roof;
in the case of an installation on a chimney stack, the dish does not exceed 45cm in size and is not higher than the highest part of the stack.

The 2 dishes on one bracket is an urban myth. :)

You just need a standard 40mm collar universal quad LNB.

They are different...they are crap. :) Some are crappier than others. Personally I would use a non Sky, good quality LNB.
