I missed that one

Was gutted my self, even though it was 3 hours drive away from me!

But saying that did the same for my fibo 1.2 and c/master 1.8. Traveled from S.Wales to b`ham to get it! well worth the price too 150GBP:)

Did you like it? :D i can make some other videos if you like.....

Here are some pictures from my Fibo 120cm which is warped.

Also you can see maybe the only imported original StarChoice 75cm in Europe.

Picture of the instrument i use, a Kathrein, does the job, but i can't afford more just now.

I haven't a player for .mov files at the moment, so I haven't watched yet. I get the sound OK with a bit of heavy breathing to start. :D

How bad is the 120cm bent, photos don't really show. :)

Yeah i know, i heard it too in the start of the video, it was hot outside today and everything was so tight as i had to put the camera on top of some books to keep it stable....

There are dents in the middle parts of the 120cm dish, i have tried to fix it so many times but the dish is getting very strong sidelobes so the dish is not good at all.

I like the look of the relook 400s i have been wanting to buy one for a while, BTW never buy a humax hdci-2000 it is the most carp digital sat receiver i have ever used and the sad thing is i have 2 of them well one now i sold one the otherday,

Do you think relook is better than a dream multimedia? if you have used one that is

Dreambox is crap in my opinion, only good with Dreambox is the software, but you also have Enigma for Relook now so what's the point buying a Dreambox?

My last Dreambox was a DM500s, it was really bad, and i didn't like the DM7000s i once had.

You should wait til December because Relook will release their new 510s with DVB-S2 tuner, that will be a killer.

Or try the 210s that will also have DVB-S2 but only one tuner.

This looks like a high performant antenna Likvid and robust as well. Some questions come up to me though.

1. What's the weight if it will be transformed into a motorised dish ?
2. Can it this way drive down to elevations of 0-5° ?
3. What cost do we speak of altogether (dish, mount, motor) ?
4. Which motor would you choose ?

Would be interesting to see if this dish can give better results than a common 2.40m PFA. Doubtful but as many people including you say that the gain of Andrew dishes is excellent it might be possible.

1. The weight of the dish is 49.8kg.

2. Yes with EGIS

3. Type 184 antenna cost 970 euro according to a two year old price list i have from Andrew, the EGIS motor can be bought refursbished from Germany for about 600 euro, total approx 1600 euro.

4. EGIS, second choice would be the SMR1224.

5. No i don't think it will perform like a 2.4m PF antenna but more like 2.2m PF antenna.

However XPD performance will beat any PF antenna, that's the main advantage of a Gregorian dish, not gain.

Andrews SMC dishes are excellent old school design, they can take any beat you throw at them and they can stand tough transports without getting damaged.

Thank you very much Likvid. Indeed under these circumstances i understand why you would choose it. Very important your last sentence. So it should also survive rough weather like hail, right ?

You can jump on the dish if you like, it's built like a tank.

I deal with andrews main supplyer in the uk i have a trade account with them i spoke with them the otherday this is one of the main dishes the they keep in stock for v-sat along with the 2.4m version

It is a v-sat dish (two way internet) rx and tx i have installed a few of them for v-sat on offices and some factory's and bank's and on so on for two way traffic, I can get these cheap as they are kept in stock along with the standard 1.2 and 1.8 and 2.4, In fact i got a few feedhorns and buc's (block up converter) from the 1.8 dual optics dish in my shed in the garden which are of two 184 andrews that got smashed up by kids on a Industrial Estate
