Nice one Likvid, nice and clean installation.
Looks like a quality motor you got there! What is it?

Nice conversion Likvid
:-hny

My Fibo/SG2100A conversion seemed to amplify the motor whine, I cured this by removing the dish from its bracket and glueing it back on with PU windscreen adhesive. It made it considerably quieter, more a hum than a whine now

Will try in the spring when it's warmer outside.

Yes it's a Yamaha, RXV-2095, the same as A2 but with integrated tuner.

You can fit the Invacom C120, Inverto White Tech C120, MTI AP8-TW.

That's really all C120s that is available right now.

I prefer Inverto but people have got mixed results using them, however i picked my Inverto from a lot of 50 pcs so i got the best one and it's really really good.

With Invacom i only have bad experience, i have tried the single and twin models and they perform bad, they are not suitable for fringe reception at all, don't really understand all the hype around Invacom, maybe because this is a english forum and Invacom is english ;)

MTI is also great.

My pick would be either the MTI or Inverto, however Inverto really is handpicked MTIs from production lines...

Maybe thats why they are so crap :D , just out of interest do Bang and Olufsen do any satellite gear? Havn't seen any, they would be quality products.

right. but what about just getting a 'regular' 40mm lnb fitted with some bolts and tape? would it work? i know the 40mm feedhorn's narrower, thus not optimal, but i wonder if it could still give some good reception...
i mean what's the noise like in the lnbs mentioned above? could a narrower one but with a lesser dB even out?

Yes they did back in the early 90's.

They used Triax as their source, rebranded Bang Olufsen.

No it wouldn't work, the Fibo dish use a special feedhorn suited for the dish.

The 40mm Inverto works better in fringe reception for me than the Invacom.

Update:

Dish is down and i will take the chance and install a Stab HH120 motor i have ordered at the same time.

Hopefully it will be more silent and much more stable than my Moteck which worked pretty good when it was up and running......
