Depends where you live, but 1.2m should be fine for most of UK. Could be your LNB or dish alignment.

Send the wife up the ladder to clear the spiders from the end of the feed

Irte dishes are prone to knocks (aluminium does not bounce back to shape). If its a feed from Irte these can let in water around the seal as the aluminium will have corroded.

Get a cheapy meter as well to check on performance of the dish as well as alignment if you still cannot see 5E (size is fine in South)

Its had a bit of a hard life(like me with the Dragon)No visable signs
of corrosion.wonder if i strip (paint or whatever it is off)and was to respray if poss (wot kind of paint)

If i cannot paint it does that meen ive got to align it. (cheated when installing,)get turk east and thor west but farg all either way
after them.(Cowboy Builder).

Nothing particularly interesting outside Turksat or Thor on a 1.2m *(unless you like French, Romanian or Iranian)

Some news feeds of Fox and CNN way over to the West but thats really about it

I don't agree with Channel Hopper on that one, 30W (I think) has lots of nagra channels incl sports and movies, and a well-aligned 1.2m should pick it up (despite what the beam footprint looks like).

I was really thinnking about the free to air channels so yes I ignored the encrypted ones on the outer region satellites
