Hi guys,

Am new to all this technology but I have decided to build a HTPC and looking for info on a good DVB-S card for Media centre and to support Encrypted Channels.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I would have 2 cards in mind, Nexus-s and SkyStar2. The Nexus is rather expensive and personally I don't think it warrants the extra cost over the SS2. As far as de-encrypting, that is done by software, DVB Dream or ProgDVB, incorporating S2emu and softcam files. I think your main concern would be the graphics and sound cards that interface with your media centre, here is were you are going to set the quality output from your PC.
