Bagless vacuum cleaners have to have filters to stop the fine dust returning to the atmosphere and these need cleaning. There are usully several to check - a cheap bagless from Asda I looked at had 5 separate filters to clean!

Eventually the filters need replacing and some of them aren't cheap. Bagless cleaners are not the great advance that everyone seems to think they are.

kirby :-rofl2:-rofl2

Anyway i seem to of fixed the problem..

The clear hose which joins the base to the upright section was over tightened and twisted due to use..

I have spoken to dyson and they say it can twist over time.. and to take it off and untwist it..

so i have done.. apparently the over twisting will stop the base from making contact with the carpet thus loosing suction.

anyway i had half of tub of dirt... emptied it out on the carpet switched it on and bam it picked the hole lot up in seconds :)

No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

Take it to the highest window in your house, then drop it, if it is still not working, repeat this action. Afterwards, go to eBay and get a Kirby... :p

I think it's time we set up a vacuum cleaner thread, and put a couple of expert moderators in charge

Any votes ?
