I heard about 499 EUROS.

Problem is again that this receiver will probably not be open-source due to the STI chipset, only parts will be open.

499 euros for a non open-source receiver will make it less attractive.... atleast for me.. :-downt

True, i beleive DGS is biting their own hand this time once again.

Just look at the new Kathrein UFS921 HDTV receiver with Linux, same mistake there.....

Hello! New here.

Just wanted to agree that €500, regardless what OS it runs on, is for me a non-starter.

There is however an alternative - the CUBEREVO-mini. A 250s on steroids if you will (look at that rear panel). It even supports DivX! Why?! Not sure...

That, I'd very much like to know the price. Anyone?

I'm also curious about how the PVR function will work with HDTV and the content protection studios try to force down our throats, whether we actually watch HD or not... I know HDCP only works at the direct output level (HDMI), so what's there to stop me from exporting HD files to my PC? (other than the gigantic sizes)

Thank you.

Ì would not trust anything DGS says about their upcoming receivers.

They are famous for promises promises, just look at current receivers and the software development going on.

Did you know that DGS own software does not even work with a Jaeger VBOX2? it's true as their Diseqc 1.2 implementation is not standard.
