A very good surprise;
the Edision OS nino Pro finds in blindscan all the frequencies in T2MI that are on the 40 ° East satellite.
then it is necessary to restart the Receiver, and it can by a manual search find all the Programs in T2MI.
Unfortunately the last stage is not finalized
: We do not see any image and no sound.
I heard about "astra-sm_" that would be necessary to finally see the image.
I do not know if it's complicated.
this receiver amazes me every day not its possibilities.

McCelliotG can help you get that configured. There is a tutorial on this board. No point going over it again here. But you are going to need to get your hands dirty editing files and stuff.

I know him huevos;:)
I did it last year with the 4008.
but at the time he did not find the programs himself, he had to program everything with the PC.o_O
This time the Nino Pro goes further.

Yep, it is finding new transponders for me too. Is that the one with mainly radio stations.

In this screenshot I see that the Multistreams that are synced with the known transponders in the xml have correct FECs. However the new one that was not in the xml has FEC Auto. Is it meant to be this way?
Now, when tuned does OS Nino Pro return the correct FEC or does it stay on Auto?

There is a filter in the blindscan plugin that checks what is found in the blindscan to what is in satellites.xml, and makes corrections to what was found based on satellites.xml. This is great if the information is correct in satellites.xml, and it explains why all the transponders have the correct fec except the one not in satellites .xml.
The latest blindscan plugin modifications from Huevos allows you to disable this filter and run what the receiver blindscan actually finds. More transponders with FEC Auto are logged when this filter is disabled.

FEC Auto is returned when the receiver logs a transponder and shows the fec to be 0. OR if FEC Auto is set in the tuner driver.
Information about the FEC Auto issue has been reported to Edision. We will see if they fix it. It may be something we just have to live with.
At least the signal meter works, and the blindscan feature is exceptional. This is better than you can say for some receivers that cost more.

Just to try to simplify.

When you do a blind scan there are 3 choices of FEC the blindscan binary can return:
1) Correct FEC
2) Wrong FEC
3) Auto FEC

If the frequency, polarisation, and symbol rate match a transponder in satellites.xml the FEC from that transponder will be used. Otherwise you will have to live with the wrong/auto value. With the new code this function can be disabled from the gui.

When you tune to a service on that transport stream the correct values may show on the infobar, but that depends on the hardware and drivers of the receiver in question. In the case of the OS Nino Pro, it does show the correct values on the infobar.

So in extension to that, you would have to go into all the additional work and recode the plugin to search the SI tables, like PC cards do.
BTW, is there a slight possibility that we can get a real time found frequency display like on EBS pro? Namely, instead of having the 1/2/3/4 part process on screen, to have directly the found transponders screen, with each transponder found showing up in real time? Or even display the SNR of the found transponder?
I know you must wanna kill me right now..... :p

No you can't have that. The binary returns each block in turn. Four blocks of transponders.

Reading the SI tables would probably be around 15 seconds per transponder. So do that on 50 transponders and you would add 10 - 15 minutes to the scan.

Hello
I am Dxer.
What interests me is what it can receive from unknown on different satellites.
The blindscan result is saved here:
tmp / blindscan xxxxxx.xml.
Since it is in tmp I think that each restart is erased.
Is there a way to transfer this result to a etc / enigma2 / satellites.xml automatically?
because I think that in etc / tuxbox where satellites.xml is located after a "restart" all the modifications are erased
and in etc / enigma this remains.
It is handmade with filezilla, but if there was this option it would be perfect.

Thank you very much for all the work already done. :Y

Also a plug in spectrum analyser would be nice, but I don't know whether that would be possible, the experts on here perhaps could tell us. Like Stephen many thanks for the work so far!!

Re this case of the FEC being corrected when the blindscan has finished, & the newly found channel is tuned. Does the FEC come from PSI/NIT, or returned by the tuner, perhaps in blind-lock mode (as opposed to blind-scan)?

What I'm really interested in is the latter ie can the box ultimately discover the correct parameters without the satellites.xml cheat-sheet, especially on *feeds* where there may be no NIT in the PSI, even when it fails (FEC auto) / returns the wrong FEC in blind-scan mode.

All blindscan result searches on E2 receiver are stored, even after rebooting.
To make changes to the file you must first stop the E2 by telnet "init 4"

But don't the logs state that the transponders of each block are found in real time? Usually the logs even return correct values, doesn't the plugin read the log from the blindscan binary to display the found transponders? In this case couldn't be possible that additionally with the 4-step screen to have the found transponder appear on the screen too?
Yes, SI table reading take time, this is why blindscan is slower on PC cards, thus provide the option for quick or detailed blindscan modes.

Having said that, I must express how grateful all DXers are to you for your hard work. Everything else is in the sake of discussion!

You can see for yourself how the Edision's blindscan binary, "blindscan" behaves by running it manually from the console to see its raw output. If there's no built-in help regarding the format of the command line, then you can refer to Huevos's source oe-alliance/oe-alliance-plugins, or look at the e2 debug log to see a live example.

You'll probably need to stop e2 before running the binary to free-up the tuner h/w (that is the case for the Octagon SF8008, where octagon-blindscan outputs results at the *end* of scanning each quarter-band H/V-Hi/Lo).

Tonight again a very good surprise with the blindscan Edision OS nino Pro.
He found a sr of 1000 and found two frequencies with only 1Mhz of difference.
All this is very very good.
This receiver will please me more and more as a dxer.

I come back on the T2MI problem with the "nino pro".
When one reads the official characteristics of the receiver, it is well indicated "T2MI support" as is indicated "Blindscan support"; the blindscan works very very well so I think the T2MI must also work (and this without a lot of preparation work which McCelliotG has given us an explanatory note).
Everything is already done: transponders are found; the programs are found, only the image is missing.
Maybe this will come with a new Edision driver ??
That's what I hope, and as it's marked in the features given by edision, I think it's not just a dream.
If anyone has more information on this topic, I'm listening.
Have a good day.
Ps: if the T2MI works, this receiver will be perfect for dxer.

T2MI works directly on Zeonbud, did you try the C-band manually? Do you also have SDG image, they have a patch for PLP ID on T2-MI.
