Lovely dish. I always felt lacking with a 1.5m - it almost felt like a compromise/stop-gap for the 1.8m. But it's an excellent performer and multi LNB friendly unlike most 1.8m..

Agree with you CJ. But, in fact, it is possible to make any offset dish, including 1.8m one, multifeed-friendly.

Whilst I am a big fan of the look of the CM's I also have the occasional admiring glance at my 1.5m Gabriel she is a thing of beauty (and her little sister)

Need to get a permanent base sorted.

What’s the best options?

Is it on a tripod mount, if so you could use 3 concrete kerb stones from a builders merchant, approximately £10 to £20 each depending on size. Travis Perkins sell them if you have a branch local to you, as should most other builders merchants.

BS Concrete Bull Nosed Kerb 125mm x 150mm x 915mm | Travis Perkins

BS Concrete Half Battered Kerb 125mm x 255mm to 125mm x 175mm | Travis Perkins

Drill the kerb stones with a masonry bit and use rawl type bolts to secure the tripod base down. Screwfix sell rawl type bolts that are a decent price and cheaper than the genuine branded rawl versions.

Im using similar on my CM 1.2 install, I have some concrete slabs like that with rebar in. I will drill holes and fit some M12 throughbolts that I have here.

Finally got the new runs of coax I wanted, one is for the 1.5 dish, 1 run is for the lnb Changer, 1 run is for my radio scanner/sdr also added some 4 core cable for the motor.

Plus I managed to pop the conduit cover back on in the lounge. (You would never know it’s been off)

While I was in the loft I found the rf distribution amp and found it is not dab compatible so I have ordered a replacement that will allow dab.

Now I just need to pop that aerial up :D

It’s slowly starting to progress forwards.
