Just changed my single Ultra, for a twin one, works just as good, significant improvements over the Silvertech I have.

the neck on the twin is shorter i see but is there still room for adjustment ?

have you compared the twin against the single is there any difference in signal strengths ?

No, wod, no difference at all, that I have noticed. But I only had a spare 5 mins and just checked 11938V on 7W and 11919H on 26E (63% and 76% respectively on my TM6800HD non super)

The twin is of identical (I reckon, only had a quick look at the two) size as the previous Silvertech I had. Yes, there is still room for adjustment on the ultra twin unlike the Black Premium singles, which have virtually none.

Just for info, I've just replaced my Inverto Black Ulta Single for a QUAD and I haven't noticed any difference at all. The neck is shorter, but still plenty to get the focus right.

good to hear that there is little difference. i'm in too minds now whether to get a quad or twin as not sure if i will ever need 4 outputs.

I had a twin on my dish, and was using both feeds, but only bought a single ULTRA, as I just wanted to see how well it performed, I was expecting it to be the same as all the other LNBs I tried, i.e not much difference. But it turned out the ULTRA lived up to its expectatons, so I should have just bought a twin to start off with.

Anyone run the Black Ultra on a Channel master 120cm and can compare it to the original feedhorn/LNB combo?

Huevos, can you confirm that the modded LNB is only a very simple mod, ie they have only cut part of the plastic feedhorn cover to accept a dish matched feedhorn and then glued the new feedhorn into the old feedhorn.

I found that with the Inverto Professional, my feedhorn fitted just inside the first flange of the lnb feedhorn, I wasn´t sure if it would work like that, but looking at your picture, that is what your local supplier has done. Looks a bit Mickey Mouse but got to be alot easier than cutting the neck and trying to make a suitable fixing and there is less chance of damage. Also if it doesn´t perform too well it won´t be too difficult to restore LNB to its original state (will only spot glue and fully test before I cut cover and fix feedhorn securly).

I replaced an Alps lnb, which I didn't receive any of the Astra 2A,2B south beams with. With the Inverto Black Ultra lnb I haven't got any problems with these beams anymore.

So this lnb definitely did it with the fringe receptions for me.

The feed horn appears to be cut off and the cap is also custom made. Also there is another problem. Occasionally these LNBs, after being modified, don't work on some transponders. I've had one that was dead on 12207V and another dead on 12285V. All other transponders worked fine.

Yes Turok I did , for someone in Turkey and on Cypres , both for PF dishes .
But for the Fibo , you dont need a flange , for them i change them in "direct to Fibo" .
Uncover the BU and reduce (on a lathe) the feedhorn to the size of 25 mm , that exactly the inner-size of the fibo-horn .
