New Inverto Ka/Ku lnb compatable STB

Checking the E7A LC2 frequency (21584H) on my Promax. TPA carrier to the left on the spectrum.
Going closer into the spectrum, I notice there's a carrier of sorts 1MHz adjacent to 21584H (21583H) that I can't identify.
Could that cause problems if a receiver is trying to lock a weak LC2, bearing in mind that it doesn't seem this LNB is using PLL on Ka - not necessary to have it as it'll be looking for fat carriers when used for its intended purpose, internet / BB via satellite.

I have gone down the DXhagens route off the DXTV forum. I have cut off the feedhorn on the Inverto and left enough barrel to copy the Fibo C120 flange so that it fits into the Fibo feedhorn. I had to add a sleeve to get the diameter up to 25mm as the Inverto barrel is 23mm. This has greatly improved Ku, Ka is about the same as with the original Inverto feedhorn, A worthwhile project on my day off.

I did wonder about a c120 version of this lnb, so we could try the matched feed horns on our dishes.

Didn't know there was a C120 version Chris, or was you thinking about grafting a CM Ku feed onto it or grafting the Ku horn part of a C120 CM over the original Inverto horn ?? ..... cue VS

@ Scopus Chris, can you not indent slightly the boom arm, or take a bit away ?? so as to slip an F connector up it's dedicated Ka port that's got a tad more performance m'boy ...... do it!.

Its not something I can do, but yes I was wondering about a c120 version, so other feeds could be used.

You can attach an elbow to that connector, so it doesn't foul the boom arm. Will give it a go at the weekend.

I nearly did it that way Chris. I butchered an old White Inverto LNB (faulty) filed it down to fit in the throat on the Inverto Ku/Ka, that would give you the c120 option then. DXhagens did that way over on the DXTV forum.

Well the awkward LC2 has gone up in strength since the mod on the Inverto, well pleased!

Nice work Scopus , I did not find the time to do the same .
Are you aware that the other port (Ka only) is more sensitive ?
To use that port I had to change the feedarm , infact a complete re-design of the lnb changer .

I will try the other port at the weekend, John in a earlier post mentioned that. I can attach an elbow f connector to that one so it should clear the boom arm.
