New look for UPC Romania
UPC has re-launched its digital cable service in Romania. Now known as upc digital tv, it offers 87 TV channels, compared to the 55 available to its analogue subscribers in Bucharest, of which 25 are brand new. The channels are structured into four tiers – Basic Digital (80 channels for RON45 (€14.14); Film Digital (84 channels, including four film, for RON60; Adult Digital (83 channels, including four adult, for RON60); and Digital Supreme (a complete package of 87 channels for RON65 a month. Viewers are also offered an EPG, parental control and 21 radio stations. According to UPC, which has 1.4 million subscribers in over 200 cities throughout Romania, its new-look service provides the highest number of channels within a basic tier among all cable operators in the country.
