So the Commtel was taken down on Thursday and the Triax td88 went up. Its been really fiddly setting up the various lnbs this time and i'm still not happy. it looks like i'll be adding a brace to each end of the lnb brackets. Took the the original mount off the wall and decided to secure it with 12mm anchor bolts but still using the u pole. Turksat reception is awesome now, just got to decide what i want to receive with 8 lnbs.

Thanks nano.
Turksat on average around 70 to 80% across all the beams,(far left). Obviously astra 1 is central so thats 97%, astra 2 90% second from left, hotbird 80% ,eutelsat 9 is 75% and this varies wildly with the weather we've had today and astra 4 is 50%. This is borderline and needs more work. I had it higher on the 60cm. I did used to have 4W at 70 % aswell but i'm waiting for more lnbs to arrive. Maybe go for 1W thor or hellasat, havent decided yet.

Nice. I'll be putting my new TD88 up next week hopefully. Looks like the same as yours.

The fun of a setup like this is you can tweak the LNBs at your leisure.

I use mainly icecrypt dual lnbs ,the blue lnb is a nikkei and the grey is a single technomate lnb. I have a technomate quad lnb for freesat. The lnb on the arm is for astra 1 ,left of it is astra 2(freesat), left of that turksat 42,right of centre is hotbird 13,eutelsat 9 and far right at the moment is astra 4.8w. Two more lnbs will be added soon once the weather settles down.

Thanks for the likes guys. It was really critical setting up those weaker lnbs. The commtel was a doddle compared to this.

Nice range. I would seriously consider some support for the LNB arm. That's a lot of weight sat on it...

Yes, it's a very nice setup but the LNB weight would bother me a bit. I put a support on my 6 LNB setup but the LNB arm was thinner than on the TD series.

Its supported one side,i wll support the other too, spent all of Saturday afternoon on it ,finished around seven ish with the missus looking unhappy about the lack of interest shown in her!!! The lnbs at the ends just flex in towards the dish really. I have the aluminium ready.......its just the time......i've been fixing a broken power supply in the missus' hard drive recorder and this put me back a bit....:-comp

And if another passerby says "can you get free sky on it" i'll brain them.

Just say "yes but the the secrets are passed down through the brotherhood of the hobbyists and I had to prove myself worthy before the secret was divulged"

Some S ky channels are free-to-air, so the answer would be yes anyway.

True CH ,but we KNOW which ones they want really!! The courier guy who delivered my commtel dish , came secondly with the triax dish. He said "still trying to get dutch mature content then." I had it delivered to work and my boss was next to me when i signed for it. (And he's definately not into that sort of thing,a Ned Flanders you might say.) But my boss turned round and said "No he wants a bigger dish for bigger boobs" which surprised me no end.

Here is a picture with the lnb for hellasat moved to eutelsat 5W. Check out its new far right position next to astra 4.8. Both lnbs are maxxed out, twas an early start this morning! And the second support was added too.
