That is what my daughter (12) said that she will have tree-house up there. Actually, that will be 165cm clearance up in the storage space.

I do not know, have feeling that it is strong enough. Will see after 10 years of usage :)

All rafters are in place and adjusted properly (I hope).

And now a 10 foot "C" band dish.

Custom built PC

Good job so far...Any progress from the last post??

One question...How did you secure the rafters to the walls, we are required to use "H1" ties here state side, it keeps the roof on in high wind's.

No big changes, still waiting roof surface to be delivered. I did not use any of those, made of galvanized steel, details you are talking about. Rafters are connected by 150mm screws (2 from each side), I hope that will be OK. Also spoke to some more experienced folks around, and they've said it is fine.

Under UK regulations I doubt that would classify as a shed, having said that regulations in London have in the last 10 years been relaxed and families are now living in sheds at the bottom of their parents's gardens, of course ooop North it will take a few years for us to catch up

YUP from my recollections of some houses (including a couple that I lived in whilst at Uni) in Leeds - they were not much better than sheds (and at least as cold and draughty).

They brought metal for roof yesterday, so already covered one side of the roof. Not perfect, of course, but should be OK for country side  And cheap, as I do not have to ask somebody to do the job. :Y

Finished the second part of the roof and also roof ridge. Now time for gutters and other "small" things, like drainage, doors for storage place etc.

I am so far with my new shed. There will be no pipes for rain water but 2 chains from top to bottom.

Have finished with all tin-work. Got 2x3m pieces of INOX chain and installed them to organize water-flow. Also made doors for storage room and created simple but effective locks. Still need to think about drainage in the ground...... some digging is ahead.

It started to rain in the afternoon (perhaps cuz it is weekend coming) :N, but had opportunity to check how water is flowing to the chains. TBH, I am not very happy with the results..... chain parts are not so big and water is not always gets to the chain. I think I need to make some kind of funnel on the top of the chain to collect all water and forward it directly to the chain. I do not think it is very difficult to make cuople of such funnels, out of INOX of curse :p Will do it not today, when I am not tipsy. :-lmao

Bought ~2 tons of pellets and stored them in the shed-storage place. Seems that weight s not a problem. In the future I plan to store ~4 tons upstairs.
