It's now official. TV C*abo has now notified it's subscribers that there is going to be a swich over of viewing cards. I have received my monthly bill with a note that very soon I will be contacted by them for a switch over of the old card for a new (Nagra2) card. They just say "soon", no date.

It's their call. At least the next door neighbours of TV C*bo switched for about two years.

I was under the impression that only the ROM 101 cards have been hacked, so all Cabo have to do is use cards with another ROM version.

Secure sources say that the new cards have been all mailed out to subcribers but not all old cards have been received. The STB boxes with old to new cards have been with technical glitches and tech support at TV C*bo has been dealing with this issue with several delays.

The Benfica vs. Sporting match this January, is marked for some kind of "action". If it's just a EMM/ECM change or a shutdown of the Nagra1 signal is not confirmed yet. Only if the STB problems are all dealt with then it might be the end of the Nagra1 signal.

I don't believe quite so m8. What I do believe and I'm quite sure is that keys will change bur Nagra1 signal stays the same

As posted, I'm just quoting from my sources. I am not in any way confirming what is going to happen. The "might" in that quote of N1 shutdown is what was transmitted to me. If anyone has the certanty that N1 will not be shutdown next weekend or next summer, well even I am a happy camper with that news!
