I am about to purchase a digital receiver with built-in Viacess and a Seca CAM and I need to know the following about cards:
What are the best type of cards to buy? (I cannot have my PC permanently connected to the card)
What is the best/cheapest card programmer or can I use the remote to program the card?
Where do I get the codes for the cards from?
How often do codes normally need to be updated?

Thanks in advance for any replies

Elvis or Millenium, both good for beginners (see Cards and Programmers forum) you can update the codes once programmed with the remote on most receivers. Tutorials for operation of these programmers on http://www.enjoyproject.co.uk/~wolver/

>Where do I get the codes for the cards from?

You can try here http://www.satfiles.nip.net or do a search on the relevent encryption forum for more links

>How often do codes normally need to be updated?

Mostly once a month
