HI all from a new member and a newbie to all this.

i need sum help in setting up and advice on what to buy from scratch to recive sat tv. reciver or pc card? i have bin told the skystar 2 is a good card to buy but as far as i no this does not have a ci slot which i presume i would need to decode encrypted channells. ave allso bin told i can not recive viaccess after september cus being changed to videocrypt. would i be better to buy a stand alone reciver please advise on the cheapest way to goand were i can but this from even better if seconhand. many thanks.

My Satellite Setup
Technomate 5402 HD M2 Ci, DM7000s, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Promax HD Ranger+ spectrum analyser.

Read the MyTheatre Sticky thread Pluto, that explains what can be achieved with a Skystar2. The sat card is the cheapest way of receiving satellite, but depends on your home layout as to whether it is best for you.
