Yeh its a little flimsey, standing underneath earlier i can see it flexing in the wind,
I think ill go with your advice and get a steel one, i like the idea of a transparent dish were are they from? Also i need to start looking at CAMS so i can get some good channels.

Pictures are a bit big, i dont know how to re-size them on here.

If you take them down to 140KB, then you can upload them as attachments and they will be shown as thumbnails.:)

You can get the plastic dishes from several places, satcure, satellitesuperstore, SMS, and a few others, have attached a picture of an 80cm plastic (one of our member's setup) and 70cm Raven on T&K mounts.

i would have thought the plate on that mount would have been bigger to space out the fixings as that looks cheap

i'm thinking of getting one of these type of mounts but seen steel ones that look heavy duty where the pole has extra supports welded onto the back plate to the pole sticking out

http://www.brymar.co.uk/acatalog/isswb2.jpg

but using t&ks the dish would be closer to the wall or can you get them that are spaced out more ?

yeh i like the TK brackets, i will get them, but if im going to fork out another £350 to have the dish re-installed i would like to upgrade the dish or LNB also to make it worth while.

The reinstall should be quite easy to do yourself, T&Ks are easy to get straight, and if you leave the motor on zero, then all you have to do is lift the whole assembly of the mount and put it back on the new one when installed, moving around to 1W being the only alignment needed..

@ wod, T&K brackets are made in different stand off sizes, 12, 18, 24 and 36".
