Hello guys, will hopefully be buying a new uhd 4k tv soon and would like a satalite receiver to match the quality.

I currently have a old standard technomate, which i use to watch my Turkish tv from (turksat, eurosat)

Really not sure on which receiver to buy...was looking this below, but if anyone has advice or suggestions on which is better, then please share.

Technomate TM-Nano 2 Super

Thank you

Nothing wrong with the receiver you linked to and has plenty of flexibility but it certainly won't get you UHD TV and neither will any of the other receivers on the market.

Yes, and I'd probably favour the Vu+ over this but for plain old watching, there's little difference.

The H265 codec has only been ratified a few months ago,

It took about ten years between the ratification of H264 and being it common use,

I do not think providers will start moving SD & HD channels to H265 for a few more years,

By 2021 H265 will definitely be in use for SD & HD possibly UHD when it takes off in 4K or by then it maybe in 8K SUHD,

Your current HD receiver has a good few years of use in it the only progamming we will start to loose are the feeds as they have already started testing some in H265.
