I think he was after the McClaren in Mayfair, but he got angry when he found there was no left hand drive option

Mercedes CL 55 is about my favourite at the moment, absolute luxury, with stunning AMG performance and reactive suspension.

The new 5.5-litre AMG V8 supercharged engine has an output of 368 kW (500 hp) and maximum torque of 700 Nm.

Despite its sporty character, the interior of the CL 55 AMG offers a level of comfort which racing drivers can only dream of: the AMG sports seats in nappa leather with multicontour backrests provide optimum lateral support during fast cornering. And the AMG steering-wheel gearshift gives the option of selecting the gears yourself or leaving this task to the AMG SPEEDSHIFT 5-speed automatic sports transmission.

Ill take two then at that price !

For what I would like it would probably come to more then the house, I do have an affection for the Honda (Accura) NSX - older version, and always stop to look at the earlier Bertone Lotus Esprits ( especially in the James Bond white - had one to drive for about a week a few years back)

Mostly though you will catch me on two wheels, and for looks the Ducati, Honda concept machines, and some of the 70s oil crisis results out of Japan (CBX, CB1100R and Suzuki large Two strokes)
