My Satellite Setup
Gibertini 104cm motorised dish with a Technomate 5402 HD CI+ and TBS 6925 + Gibertini 90cm with 9E 13E 19.2E and 28.2/5E with a Hauppauge WinTV NOVA-HD-S2 Media Centre PC and Pure EVOKE Flow Radio + 100cm Channel Master with 2 LNBs at 24.5W and 30W

Just saw the launch off NigComSat-1R 42 in China on NTAi on 24.5°W, she seems to have a European KA Band beam and is to be positioned at 42.5°E so who knows what may pop up here but KA Band's increasing every day. O-no

Although to be honest they are pretty poor and look like something the European operators were producing 25 years ago!

Yep, they made it out like it was a huge deal too, even cutting to people screaming with joy like it was a football game when the bird reached geostationary transfer orbit.

I guess for Nigerians it is a big deal, they don't launch satellites every day! :)

Yes considering its a replacement for one that lost power after launch, thanks for the video clip :)

There is something very chilling watching Long March 3B launches and the ominous voice count down.

This is probably the most chilling.

Wow! I wonder how many people were killed that day... :eek:

(to be precise, Nigcomsat 1 was lost while on orbit, 18 months after launch)
