2.40 m dish

Hi,

I live in Kiev, Ukraine and I have a 2.40 M dish. I get 70% signal on astra 1 G but nothing during the day on 11856 V 27500. The issue is that Canal + channels are on this frequency.

The guys overhere have changed the lnb (invacom 0.3 db) and we obtain around 31 db in noise. We even tried a 0.2 db but no change.

Any ideas?

Thanks in anticipation

Could well be local interference, look at this chart and see what is likely to be transmitting at 1,256 Mhz (the Intermediate Frequency for that transponder)

The closest legitimate frequency usage is that used for satellite navigation or Amateur applications(not sure what that encompasses), there is always the possibility that a DECT phone can cause excessive noise, even though out of its legitimate frequency allocation.

Thanks.

Not an expert so what is a DECT phone?

Could it be due to the satellite positioning during the day as I receive the programs from 9pm to 8am? Or the dish is not in the exact postion?
