hi guys im new to all this and im after any idots guides and any advice on a basic system and how it all works cos i think sky is a rip off for wot you get

im a sparkie by trade so im hoping i wont find it to hard to understand :)

Any ideas on what you might want to watch and time spent doing it?

forgive my stupid questions peeps but whats a dream box is it a kind of reciver im not bothered about subscription if the the channels ill get will be worth watchin and cover alot of motorsport:)
