OK i need some help with this setanta and red hot thing.
I understand how to use the codes and obtain a release code for my freeview standalone box, but where do the codes come from?
I dont mean what websites are they posted on, but how are they obtained in the first place?
Is it a complex process or can anyone (with the right 'tools') do it?

TIA

1.2Mtr Polar MTG yes it has been on the arc for 25 years and is now fixed on 13 East using two pairs of rusty molegrips. Unlike me they never groan but always perform.

Welcome to the forum TURBODIESEL

Well AFAIK data stream logging would be the only way but I am only really guessing there. One thing is for sure it is a black art and you will not get anyone answering you on an open forum

I see that Dudez have stoped posting them, as it was causing server problems every Sunday night! :-doh!

I can post a copy of the MHEG code dumping guide I wrote for satdudez if it's OK with the management? How's your server bandwidth looking these days? :D

Excellent idea, Nick.
Would love a look at this 'black' art!

It's easy when you know how... :D

The old guide is a bit out of date so I'm currently re-writing it,

I'll post it when it's done unless there are any objections?
