Hullo, I bought a Tevion FTA satellite kit (Model Number 28216ALD) from Aldi last month, but can't get it to detect (zero quality) frequencies between about 11.5Ghz and 11.7GHz. Have checked - as well as I can - that it’s not a cabling problem or a dish alignment and skew issue by swapping the Tevion receiver with an old Sky Digibox, which seems to pick up those frequencies perfectly. It doesn’t matter which satellite cluster I point the dish at, the Tevion receiver simply refuses to pick up any transponders between 11.5 and 11.7GHz, but frequencies outside those work fine - strong signal strength and good quality. Any advice would be mucho appreciated. Many thanks.

Could be a badly quality controlled LNB.

Could be incorrect LNB settings in the Receiver (Tell us what they are, please :))

The frequency range you mention is in the grey zone between Low Band and High Band.

Those LNb settings seem fine. It's possible it could be a faulty tuner on the receiver.

Or a digital telephone nearby.

Digital Enhanced Cordless Telephony System (DECT) 1880-1900Mhz

Converted IF of those frequencies is 1750 - 1950Mhz

Not forgetting the sometimes problematic BT Home Hub.

No BT hubs or digital phones anywhere nearby. I managed to find one channel, quite by accident, that it will pick up in the 11.5 – 11.7 range, but it shouldn’t be there as far as I can tell. Sky Travel is on 11681V 22000 (65% Quality) but it should only be on 10876V 22000, which it also is (83% Quality)???
