If this forum is a closed shop it's a shame but thanks anyway. I have read the thread.
It's certainly not a closed shop. Please feel free to post but if there is some possibility of misunderstanding then please make allowances.

Thank you, although what I said has been misinterpreted - the poster said he didn't understand my simple question so it is not aggressive to ask which bit was hard to understand, but I get it, I know how forums work.....

Your second paragraph is the answer that could have been given the first time I asked the question.

Let me be clear - I have a licenced EBU NS200 with NS4 synced and locked with a 3M dish and PLL LNBs on the E7B Hypermux4. I understand the need for the DRM in the demod and then also the BISS in the decoder, hence me asking if there was a test card so that I could decode the video without needing the BISS, simply to test that my Ericsson is correctly decoding the ASI. The project I am working on has not begun yet so I do not have a complete set of parameters to prove everything is working correctly.

If this forum is a closed shop it's a shame but thanks anyway. I have read the thread.
To make it more clear , is your demodulator registered on EBU systems? Has EBU send you the AES keys for the DRM of hypermux on 7E ? If not then you cant get the feeds .

If you are worried just for the conection of your cables a) just lock whatever feed/channel you want , an s2 and check if you get it . if yes then your cables are ok . b) on tandberg menu you can see critical error if its something wrong with the ASI connection

Its an NS3/4 hypermux - the DRM is built into the stream. If you dont have an NS box which has been correctly authorised you dont get to see it

Just missed out on a ns2000 at auction, bid up to 600 pounds but it sold for 640.I was a little wary about going any higher
due to the dmr issue, but it was from a London media company so may well have been authorised.
anyone on here the winning bidder?

There was very little info, just photos really,Thats why I didn't want to go any higher, but it was a huge auction of a big London media outfit that are relocating.Have to say I bid 6 days before the end, and was the only bidder until 1 hour before the end of the auction,so was a bit gutted.

No encryption, but its not needed anymore as its done at modulation level, I forgot the name of the actual encryption involved, I think it begins with E

So whats needed is an actual authorised EBU box, how some people have one without working in the industry is interesting in itself, either way its out of bounds for the ordinary satellite enthusiast.

I guess when your ordering you specify the mux your intended on receiving, if it ebu hypermux then you pay the hmcrypt licence which will probably cost $$$$ on top of the already costly base unit

Yeah thats what i mean, its a shame though EBU pictures look really beautiful and shiny with nice sharp edges.

what ever you buy you will be always needing to have the authorization from EBU in order to get the EBU feeds ( indeed you can get whatever else you like without it) and unfortunately you cant buy this authorization
