I am fighting with my dreambox 7000s with HH100 and Gibertini 100 cm dish. If there are other thing you would like me to check - please feel free. Only problem is that I have my motor/dish on the roof (can't reach it easily). I am new to drambox scene, but linux is my preferded solution - for more than 10 years.

First few lines are very strange, when I start dreambox or enigma it want's to turn motor to 43W. I could't find a explanation for this. I have tried to remove this sat entry from satelites.xml but this didn't help. Anyone?

Enigma will always seek to the channel that was active last time a controlled reboot was carried out. So...select a useful default channel, and use the "restart" option to fix it in place.

Nope its never to late in this game - Its good to see some feedback :)

Entry for -43,0° not in Rotor Table found... i try gotoXX°
siteLatitude = 51.590000, siteLongitude = 4.270000, 317.000000 degrees
azimuth=234.127090, elevation=16.675711, declination=13.533855, PolarmountHourAngle=231.468702
RotorCmd = d338
Rotor DiSEqC Param = d338 (useGotoXX)
2 DiSEqC cmds to send
This bit is using GotoXX as there is no stored position for the satellite.
Are the listed siteLatitude (51.59) and siteLongitude (4.27) correct for your location? You can type in 3 decimal places if you need to.

Looks like enigma knows about smilies!

Hi Band
DiSEqC Switch cmd = 00f3
Rotor DiSEqC Param = 04 (use stored position)
2 DiSEqC cmds to send
This is saying that a STORED position (4) was found for this sat, so that was used instead of GotoXX.

It looks like you have at least 4 stored positions set up and the DB is using those and NOT GotoXX for those satellites.

Did you set these up? It could be some uninitialised data on the DreamBox! This would explain why different people have mixed results.
And now for a barrage of questions:)

When you go into Motor Setup (Dream->6->2->3), what does it show?
If you untick the GotoXX box, can you see the positions mentioned above listed?
If you delete them and then re-enable gotoXX does this help (more logging would show if they had been truly deleted)?

Actually, I think it does not. If you go to a channel, then turn the DB off (standby) and then on again it will use this channel next time you reboot.
At least this is what I found it to do.

Regarding the GotoXX : I successfully use this feature now, but it took some time...If you decide to store a position, do it and then go and reactivate the goto XX. I am not sure why, but it seems to work....

Also, if we are at this subject: Sometimes when you choose another sat with the go to xx it just does not want to do it. So go and choose another station from the same sat usinf the TV button. Sometimes turning the Dreambox for a second into standby will cause it to resend the disecq command, and you will find the station...

The Enigma code always uses a stored posn if it has one defined.
If not, it will default to GotoXX.
To be honest the setting of "Use GotoXX" seems to be for for display purposes, it is the content of the sat posn. data store that defines the actual method used at tune time with a sat by sat resolution. Hopefully the guys'n'gals at dreambox HQ will sort the setup routine out to make it more logical and reflect the method used when changing channel.

Sometimes when you choose another sat with the go to xx it just does not want to do it
Never seen this here (various Hydra flavours on a DB7000), so can't comment.
