As from yesterday NTV Mr is now transmitting in the clear on Sesat 36 East into Europe, it used to be on 5 East only in embedded Viaccess

Most places can easily receive it with a 80cm dish

Just heard from another site, and (confirmed by a Russian relative) that the Viacces 2 rollout is to be extended to Sirius 5E in the next eight weeks

Both ORT and NTV Mir will be broadcasting in both Viaccess1 and 2 with a changeover to V2 expected first week January, in time for the Russian New Year celebrations

No confirmation as yet whether other Sirius channels are due to go the same way but I will keep my ear close to the ground
