Hello,

I would like to know if it is possible to transfer my channel list from an Edision Primo S2 to a Octagon SF4008?
I think they use the same sort of firmware so maybe someone can confirm if this is possible?
The reason why i'd like to know this is because I am looking to buy an Octagon SF40008 for some extra tv sets at home. I only want one channel list so I have to update one list and I can transfer this list by USB.
Does anyone has experience with this?

Is the Edison Primo S2 a Linux based Enigma 2 receiver?
The Octagon SF4008 is listed as one, so you might be able to use dreamboxedit, a tool designed to allow you to download, edit, save and transfer your channels, and bouquets, between suitable receivers, via your PC.

I can't get the channel list from the Edision Primo into the dreambox edit tool... So I guess it isn't possible to transfer the channel lists?

the edison Primo S2 is of the same design as the octagon SX88.
the two satellites.xml are totally different between the 4008 and the SX88 (Primo S2) .legende-vert.jpg
You can, if you want to transfer the program list but you will have big big problems.

This is because the firmware/driver of the GX chipset ignores all values for tuning except the frequency. Even constellation is set to auto! Indeed, it won't work with Silabs demods.

Thank you for the info!

Is there maybe someone who is willing to test it for me?
