Given the heat today, I think he would like one TODAY! :D

I know, the place that used to do him phoned me a few days ago to cancel the appointment, she is no longer doing it.

So now I need to find one as soon as possible.

Just get a set of Wahl (or equivalent) hair clippers and trim the dog yourself, cheaper in the long run... :D

If it's Parma Ham, then it isn't of unknown origin, though: It's from Parma :-doh

One day, the 21st Century will arrive in this house.......

We are off to Seville and Cordoba in October. SWMBO subscribed to a blog written by an American lady who lives in Seville and offers PDF guides (for which you have to pay) describing sites and giving walking tour routes etc. This morning she needed help in printing off 30 pages from the pdf file. I explained that rather than lugging sheaves of A4 paper to Seville and back, it was possible to transfer the file to my netbook which I'm taking with us. Anyway, 15 minutes later, having depleted half a Scandinavian forest she had her hard copies. I'd also emailed the file to me as an attachment, then opened and saved to file to my phone and showed the pdf to her...."I'd still prefer to take the print out" was her reply.....

I'm with your missus on this Pete. Everything is so much more accessible when printed out.

Before going to Venice (and while I still had the facilities to do so) I printed off quite few guides and information sheets at work. And, because I could, I printed off the multi-page items as folded and stapled A4 booklets.

I've printed off manuals for fixing things I have just because I can't get on with reading off a screen, mostly because the manual is book-shaped, and my screen is not (well, it would be if I sat my laptop on its' side, but that'd be stupid!), you can't beat handling paperwork, it's just much nicer than staring at a screen... :)

And plus, there's no batteries to run out with paper... :D

I agree in principle, however I'm pretty sure you aren't battling with aircraft hand luggage weight allowances....or the 'need' to take guide books that weigh enough to incapacitate a would be bag snatcher with a smart smack round the ears...
