.....and following on from the references to the Doomsday clock at the end of the 2017, imho, sanity seams to have gone awol this week! Still amazed at the level of national outrage caused by attractive grown women being paid to dress in a titillating manner to the extent that the benefiting charity threw the money back. Then some woman in the news (who is deaf) is taking action against a music promoter for not providing signing. If that succeeds, it doesn't bode well for Glastonbury and the like

I was amazed at the second article, since the family was treated to a full signing of the group heading the evening, but not the two involved in the warm up.

I wonder what she might demand as recompense when her children are mature enough see Stomp, Jean Michelle Jarre, or the LSO in concert.

As the family went to see Little Mix, I'd have thought hearing impairment was a distinct advantage...

Won't be long before breathing will be considered offensive, my response to those who would say to stop breathing as to not be offensive is "you first!"... :-rofl2

This sexism really gets my goat: I can honestly say that whenever I get dressed in my LBD and Stockings, nobody has ever tried to grope me. It's so unfair.

Beat this: A&E is stuffed full (Why, one wonders) of folk with Australian, Japanese or Frog Flu.

But I am proud (in a deranged way) to have Penguin Flu, courtesy of a pal who has just returned from the South Atlantic.

And I'm in bed, at home, with a bottle of Shiraz and some jolly green giants.

.....on the telly (sort of)

Once a week we go for lunch to an English run bistro. They (and other UK run businesses) were recently featured in an article in Ouest France : English shops in Gorron

This was picked up by M6, one of the French national channels and they arranged to do a piece in the bistro and the butchers about full English breakfasts. This is regardless of the fact that the bistro only opens for lunch. Anyway, being valued clients we were asked to come in for breakfast and submit to being filmed eating bacon, mushrooms, beans, potatoes, sausages, a fried egg and toast, whilst undertaking an interview. Fortunately for me, SWMBO is far more fluent in French and she took to the 'on screen' part like a duck to water. It's supposed to be screened this weekend, probably with a PG rating. A couple of photos of Claire, the camera operator/reporter.

That's all very well, but where's the pic of you dribbling beans and egg down your front, à la Les Patterson?

There's a reason the piece on M6 will have PG rating....
