Good Morning!

Got my Son-in-law to change a single lnb with a dual one for watching
Sky freesat which I have been watching for the last three years.

I did buy the correct lnb with adapter for the dish.

I now have the second cable running to the bedroom and connected to
a Foxsat-HD.
Now to the problem, I am losing a couple of channels.
No Satellite Signal Received: Zone Reality, Zone Thriller, Movies
4 Men. On sky box in Sitting room.

Bad signal for Horror Channel but am receiving Movies 4 Men 2 just fine.

On the Humax everything fine except once again Movies 4 Men no signal and a couple of channels - bad signal.
I haven't tried testing more channels because I obviously have a fault somewhere.
Would it be an lnb problem, connections or could the dish be out of alignement?
Your advice or suggestions would be appreciated before I contact someone to carry out necessary repairs.
Thank you.

Allan,

It's possibly you knocked the dish slightly off alignment. The weight of some LNb's can cause the dish to drop down a little :D

Thank you for the quick answer.
I believe you might be right, the son-in-law means well, but he
is not quite satellite savvy like some of us, so he might have been
a little ham fisted. :)

LOL, No Rolf.
It is a sky one that sits by the upside down dish, which incidentally is still doing a grand job thanks to your handiwork.
There are always enough programmes there to keep me occupied, especially Premiere.
As stated, my son-in-law may have moved it out of alignment.

I am keeping him down on the ground for now, he tried his best but he needs a little bit of know how as well as patience. :D

Anyway thanks for the help, it's always appreciated.

Allan.

Rolf offered his time to help out once again, but I was able to explain the mysteries of dish alignment to a willing family member and once again everything is fine.

@ Park Royal.
I just can't imagine what programmes you are writing about. :)

This a great site to visit, just wish that I was more knowledgeable and able to offer some constructive help.

Keep up the excellent work.
