Hi all,

I am in Belgium, 80cm, monoblock, disecq 1.2, interstar 8005i (hacked soft) - can watch multivision, tps etc. Basically i would like to give signal from my receiver to an extra TV (my flatmate).

I would like my flatmate to have independance and switch channels himself irrespective of my choice of channels. What equipment does he need? Would a FTA receiver for him be enough (cost saving)? How do i connect it from my reciever?

Thanks
Simon

what i would do personally is this. replace your LNB with a twin LNB,then run the 2nd cable to your friends room.he/she would need their own box and they could watch whatever channels they want, depending on which satellite you was on.In order to cause confusion you would only have to tell your friend when/where you move the dish.then they go to the same satellite with their box and hey presto..TELLY!!!!!!

They actually make a twin output monobloc LNB for just such a situation, then all you would need to do is run another cable and provide your friend with a receiver, preferably one with upgradable software for that little bit of extra viewing. :)

Thank you for the answer, but i was wondering would there be a way for my friend to use FTA receiver (because it costs less) and view coded channels on it if i patch the cable to him through my upgradable receiver and not directly from LNB?
