Laminas 1.2M fibre dish with an IBU, on a Clarke Tech USALS motor, covering 57E - 24.5W to an Octagon SX88. Displayed on a 20" Dyon LED TV.

Seperate 80 cm dish on 28E with a Humax Freesat for SWMBO.
Free Sat V8 meter. Sony Bravia 46" LCD, Sony BluRay and Home Cinema.

I think it's been FTA for a couple of months now (certainly since I got my replacement Orange viewing card in July). Though for the life of me, I can't see why they are transmitting in such a stretched letterbox format.

You mean it's like that ALL the time?! It looks like a 4:3 letterboxed film broadcast with the 16:9 signal on!

In my opinion, that's unwatchable. I already struggle with zoomed-in 4:3 or 2.35:1 cropped to fit the 16:9 ratio, so I wouldn't manage to watch a film in which everyone's unnaturally short and fat. Even for free! I just can't understand how anyone managing a tv channel - even a free to air one - could ever come to the conclusion that broadcasting a 4:3 source in 16:9 is acceptable...
Oh well. Probably not that many people watching anyway...
