i've got a pace 2500B at the moment, what i'd like to know is there any difference between the Pace 2600C1 & the DS430 for signal strength/quality for costa blanca spain, if there is is it worth bothering about? i've allso been told that my 2500B has the same tuner as the 2600C1 is this also true? :confused :confused

DS430 ,this is the newer of those lot and have a very good tuner for outside uk reception

i thought it was the other way around the 2500 had the rubbish tuner , then the 2600 came out and that came one of the boxes to use in spain cause the much improved tuners in them

Im 99% sure the pace 2600c1 has got a sharp tuner and the ds430n has not,

I have tested both of these receivers both seem the same speed but the tuner in the 2600c1 is better for weak signals, the ds430n came out after the 2600c1,

So if you dish is a bit small for the area you are in get the 2600c1 but if you have got a big enuf dish i would not worry about it,

In a weak signal area, the 2600 is much better than the 430. You can even get good sound by directly taking an output from the dac chip. The stock phonos sound aweful.

Get a refurbished one.

My Satellite Setup
Solid 2.4M C120 Invacom0.03db twin, ADF120 Feedhorn, Pace2600 & Pace DS430N. SKY package exc Sports

Got one of each on a twin Invacom 003db C120 on a 2.4m solid dish, The 2600 outperforms the 430 in Spades, on the weaker channels, IE BBC2 is receivable about an hour before it comes in on the 430N, .,.,. BBC2/3/4 will drift out before I lose it on the 2600...

Upside of the 430N is that there are few if any problems with power out or signal outs causing a manual system reset to be done

I ve tryed nearly 20 different receivers ,digiboxes and not.None of them performs better than the pace 2600c1.pace minibox is also as good as the 2600.Here in cyprus it is considered to be the best.
