Are we CERTAIN that the 2600's use the zif tuners?

1. I thought zif's where used in the troublesome 2500
2. When I had my 2600 done the guys there reckoned that the 2600 was quite an involved process! If zif means zero insertion force like I thought it did then it doesn't add up for me!

In the computer world ZIF has always meant zero insertion force, and is a term used for describing processor upgrades.

That's right, it is the 2500, and not 2600!

But, we've already established the tuner wasn't faulty!

I just added that page in case anyone needed a zif tuner.

I did say "simple, but tedious" (not "easy"!).

I just want to say thanks to everyone who replied. I managed to solve the problem with the "faulty" scart. Im a bit embarassed to say that infact all i had to do was set the digibox to output RGB. When I recieved it and it didnt work immediately I panicked and all I could think of was that I had been ripped of on ebay. One of the posts made me realise that this is all I had to do.
