Pace announces MHEG download - 28/5/03

Pace began broadcasting an update containing interactive TV software (MHEG) for its Twin Digital TV Recorders yesterday. The download will continue until 9.00am Friday 30th May. The download will update the software on all Twin Digital TV Recorders and will enable them to provide access to interactive services and digital text. To receive the download owners of the boxes need to be tuned to a BBC channel.

is this a DTT box, cable, or something else? I was not aware of any digital tv recorder that could record either the analogue BBC transmissions or else Sky's offering (except for the Tivo & Sky+ systems)
