Downlink power on C-band is about 34dBW. This equates to a dish size of about 2.7m. So first thing you neen is a bl**dy big garden! Then a receiver capable of handling C-band signals - something of a rarity these days.

Oh - and an understanding missus for a dish that big, and friendly neighbours as you are going to need planning permission.

i have a clear view i can get passed 70.5'e easy i can get the ku band channels like sabc on 68.5e no problem i have tryed c-band on that satellite on a 1.8m channel master before but nothing, as i would not mind the multichoice package in cband

Have a go - you have nothing to lose, although you will need an ideal flat horizon out towards the south east as pas will only be about 5 -10 degrees above the horizon..

I was under the impression he was after Ku band. (And we have already explained no hope of c-band with that tiddly dish)
