Patch software for KAON / GLOBO satellite receiver

I'm a newbie. Please advise if I can get any upgrade software for KAON KTSC-S660HDCO and GLOBO SILVER LINE X. I have found one link for KAON here in forum,but it's apparently dead.

Upgrading for what purpose?

Operating system?

Some sort of Patch?

Nobody is really making patches these days as there is little point in spending time to open the handful of channels that are not yet secure encrypted. Encryption levels have increased significantly in recent years.

i disagree with that statement as there is quite a bit open with softcam/b.i.s.s. when used in conjunction with a motorised dish, regards mdt

Disagree all you like but I don't see you telling him where to find a patch for his stb

They used to be available off a US based Forum which has long since given up.

Never have found another source.

Patch support for most receivers has more or less been dropped. The good old days of opening many pay tv services by loading modified firmware onto a receiver are long gone.

Ther are a handful of services still available but all the main providers are now secure.
