The way to patch your receiver is via a serial lead or null modem cable. Go to the Allsat forum (allsat.co.uk) download the latest software for your receiver, the loader and instructuions is usually bundled with the software, connect your receiver via the cable to your PC com port, open the the sofware and follow the instructions, if no instructions or loader, look for loader on the forum, open loader, load the file to update receiver, usually you start with receiver switched off, and only switch on when the loader program is active from the PC, the receiver will then be updated with the latest patch, wait until you get a message that the loading is complete before switching off receiver, and trying the receiver with the dish. You can also do the proceedure using a USB lead, the instructions for this should be in the download package, but it is much the same as with the Null Modem Cable.
