As a majority of you would know by now, something happened, that I, personally, consider to be quite a nasty move from the manufacturers of the Magic module.
The new Penta v.1.10 with C*nax support was released by "Ushtar", yet it has been specially designed limited functionality built in.)(-red
To start with, it supports only the newly released MM hardware - v.1.04.
Puzzled users investigated the issue and discovered, that there was no hardware difference between v.1.04 and v.1.03 except for the soldered bridge between two pins. )(-red This caused a lot of frustration in the user groups and withdrawal of MM support from Satkinder site.
The other "feature" was a timer incorporated in the new Penta release that disables the software in a certain period of time.
Thanks to those amongst us with time and skill on their hands there is now a Penta 1.10 "hack" available, that supports ALL hardware versions of the module. The countdown has not been disabled yet, but watch this space. ;)
Most recent update: Penta 1.11 has been just released by "Ushtar", who, it seems, surrendered to hackers. Works with all MM hardware and has no expiry built in
Download it here.
