I have a Samsung smart tv - Model number UE48H6400

I want to completely disable wifi/network capabilities of the television. The tv's menu has no such option.

I thought maybe I could undo the back, locate the wifi aerial and remove it. But before I attempt a hardware solution, I'm hoping there will be a softmod option.

So, to google....

I've discovered there's an engineer's menu that can be activated by pressing; INFO, MENU, MUTE, POWER.

It's full of scary words and numbers that I dare not change, for fear of creating a big shiny paper weight.

Does anyone know if any of these options can be toggled, in order to completely disable the network/internet/smart hub, features of the TV? So if someone were to try and connect to the Internet either via wifi or cable, or use the hub, the tv would just not do it.

Hope that makes sense, hope even more that someone can help. Also hope this isn't in the wrong board. :p lol

Can't you just block the tv in your router from accessing the internet?

There is no router. What we have here is a mobile hotspot situation, from various devices.
The TV is in a shared area, without going into too much detail, it needs to be internet-incapable. Either that, or it'll have to be a new TV.

Just set it to a "Wired network" and don't connect it to anything.(no CAT5 cable)

This shuts off the WIFI, but if you think someone would try and change it back then you might have to remove the WIFI card from the unit.(or lock up the remote.)

After reading through the manual, I think that most apps and other connections have a required password, also most WIFI connections should have a pass code, without this code it wont connect.
