I have a Philips digital TV with built in ondigital decoder. It will receive the freeview channels but I am told I should do an auto update. However this will not work.

Do I need the upgrade, should it work, is the set at fault?

TIA

I'm not sure whether there is anything that you can do to get rid of the old user interface David, but if you are getting all of the current channels, I wouldn't bother too much.

I had one of these , the Autoupdate never worked , neither did the Digital Teletext . Philips said it was an ITV problem, ITV said it was a Philips problem.
