Is there a web site similar to the one that compares prices for energy providers, but is dedicated to land line telephone services? Telewest are taking the p*ss!

Guaranteed cheaper than BT or £1000.

They can provide the line rental cheaper, Free calls to other Talk Talk users anytime - Free weekend national calls to any landline.

Saved a lot compared to BT and friends/family are changing to get the customer to customer Free calls.

Worth checking out - IMHO.
