Has anybody used a home-made programmer (ie. JDM, or parralel port prommer) for the above mentioned chips with a laptop (portable) PC , like Compaq? If yes, can I have all relevant info about it, please?

Thanks

Hi
I,m not sure but I believe the Laptop should not be used with programmers because of voltage variations on the port.

My Compaq does not seem to provide enough current to the jdm interface :(. I also tried the battery (18V) version with no luck. As soon as I changed to my ancient 286, everything works fine.

What laptop are you using ?
